CapitalBAY expand into urban quarter development

Berlin, 4 March 2020 – Berlin-based Capital Bay GmbH (CapitalBAY) is extending its already wide service proposition by forming its latest subsidiary specialized in the development of capital projects and urban quarters. CB District Development Management GmbH offers a full range of services along the value chain of real estate development, from feasibility studies and obtaining planning permission to functional planning, design of public spaces, marketing and handover to operations and the development of utilisation concepts. Right at inception, a nation-wide backlog of more than EUR 500 million comprised of large scale solitaire projects as well as urban quarters is already under service. The management of the new company consists of Karin Richter, Christian Krause and Alexander Boether.
Prior to her new role, Karin Richter held a senior executive position as Head of Development at TLG Immobilien where she had re-established the project development division with a special focus on digitalisation in the end-to-end process of commercial property portfolio management. Earlier in her career, she worked in executive roles at a Swiss investment group, following 15 years in the national and international management team of Royal BAM Group - seven of which as a member of the German management group. Karin has gathered extensive experience in development, planning, project management, product development and sales of real estate projects, programs and portfolios.
Christian Krause comes from management consulting for capital projects and infrastructure, where for the last five years he has been a Technology Partner of one of the world's leading consulting firms. He specialized in advising international clients of the construction and real estate industry on strategic and operational issues. His special interest is in digitisation of projects and programs by applying cutting-edge technology. Prior to that, he formed and built up business units at Hochtief and the Royal BAM Group, both in Germany and internationally.
Alexander Boether is working for more than 25 years in the commercial and residential real estate industry. He has profound experience in positioning real estate in prestigious locations with a special focus on investments and marketing. In the last years he was Group Representative and Head of Sustainability & Responsible Investments at the Ziegert Group. Working in the management of Engel & Völkers commercial for 14 years he had a strong focus on retail and already dealt with issues relating to sustainable neighbourhood and urban development. He is actively involved in numerous boards, committees and associations.
